Davies is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and partner of the firm. He attended the Lagos State University, Nigeria where he obtained a Bachelors of Laws degree.
He also attended the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos where having successfully met the conditions set by the Council of Legal Education and the Body of Benchers he was called to the Nigerian Bar and subsequently enrolled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is presently a member and certified Arbitrator of the Institute of Construction Industry.
Davies has remained very active in practice and is a member of the following organizations: Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association (IBA), Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and Society of Construction Law.
He commenced legal practice with the Law Firm of Adesokan & Adesokan where he was exposed to commercial law practice and was later head of the Litigation & Recovery unit of the firm. He passionately and successfully carried out this mandate.
Davies has wide and extensive experience in commercial practice and has successfully handled several matters (as an advocate and solicitor) in areas of debt recovery & insolvency for financial institutions, mergers, take over, acquisition and winding up, capital markets, company secretarial practice, regulatory matters, company secretarial and regulatory practice.
He was able to secure perpetual injunctive reliefs against infringers of the intellectual property rights of a leading tobacco company whilst representing the firm; and more recently, he facilitated regulatory protection, preservation and enforcement of the brand rights industry wide of edible oil producers.
He continues to provide advice on Real Estate finance & acquisition, title registration and Real Estate Trust.
